About The Wish Group
Our Story
The Wish Group was founded in 1992, and has undergone several name changes in its 30 year history. We settled on the name The Wish Group in 2011, as we feel it succinctly sums up everything we do— granting the wishes of those who require our help.
We originally started as a mental health-specific nursing and recruitment agency. We were actually the first business of this type and pride ourselves on leading the way in mental health care and education. We aim to provide exceptional care in all areas, including home care, counselling, consultancy, and mental health care training and courses.
Our focus is on providing person-centred specialist care aimed at improving health and wellbeing. Currently, our team consists of experienced, knowledgeable, and compassionate staff members, and we are recruiting new team members for a number of positions. These include mental health and disability professionals, consultants, trainers, and support worker teams.
Meet Our Founder
Deborah, a mental health nurse with over 30 years of experience in community, inpatient, corrections and child and adolescent settings, has owned and operated her own successful health businesses since 1992. She is committed to providing support and solutions to clients and clinicians. The Wish Group provides a supportive framework to clinicians who wish to work more independently, and our client philosophy is that each person deserves the best available care and advocacy.
With a strong background in health education and clinical supervision, Deborah has combined her passion and extensive experience to provide much-needed services as director of The Wish Group. This mental health consultancy business and its highly experienced staff provide a wide range of mental health support, education, and resources to private companies, universities, and the general public.
In addition to the corporate and tertiary sectors, The Wish Group is also dedicated to providing support to NDIS and Aged Care participants, offering services to as wide a range of people as possible. These services include holistic counselling, meditation, mindfulness, and training, as well as group and individual clinical supervision.
